From our mother’s kitchen to yours
Our story begins with our mother, who immigrated to America from Vietnam with limited English proficiency. She found herself navigating the challenges of raising five children and providing them with a quality education in a foreign land. Despite lacking formal degrees, her life experience and determination proved invaluable assets in her journey.
With a passion for cooking and an insatiable thirst for knowledge, her culinary creations quickly gained widespread recognition and affection within the Vietnamese community in Hawaii. Her delicious dishes, especially those prepared for special events and gatherings at our local church, were a testament to her talent and dedication.
Inspired by the unwavering support of friends and family, she took a leap of faith and opened her first Quê Hương restaurant in Chinatown. Her authentic Vietnamese cuisine, infused with a warm heart and a respectful spirit, has captivated both old and new customers.
Today, eight years later, we stand proud to open Quê Hương 2, carrying on her legacy and upholding the same mission: to provide our customers with the finest quality Vietnamese cuisine. Each dish we serve is a reflection of our mother’s journey — an immigrant facing numerous challenges yet driven by boundless courage, unwavering sacrifice, and an unwavering dedication to her family and community.
